• NTP Lampung Province August 2018 for each sub-sector recorded Rice & Crops Sub-sector (NTP-P) (116.51), Horticulture (NTP-H) (96.03), People's Plantation Crops (NTP-Pr) (92, 72), Livestock (NTP-Pt) (117.29), Capture Fisheries (116.51), and Aquaculture (95.10). Whereas the NTP of Lampung Province was recorded at 105.40.
• August 2018, several commodities experienced a decline in prices, among others in the horticultural and plantation sub-sector commodities, such as in red chili, cayenne pepper, and several types of vegetables and fruits, coconut, coffee, cocoa, oil palm, and pepper. While the food crops, livestock, capture fisheries, and aquaculture sub-sectors have experienced price increases, among others on grain, cassava, some capture fish, and some types of cultivated fish.
• In detail in the August 2018 increase or decrease in the NTP, the food crop sub-sector increased by 0.96 percent, the horticultural crop sub-sector fell by 0.08 percent, the smallholder plantation sub-sector fell by 2.59 percent, the livestock sub-sector rose by 1.14 percent, the capture fisheries sub-sector rose by 2.00 percent, and the aquaculture sub-sector rose by 0.66 percent. Lampung Province's NTP combined decreased by 0.16 percent.
• From 33 provinces that observed price developments in August 2018, the highest NTP increase occurred in East Java Province with an increase of 2.40 percent, while the largest NTP decline occurred in Riau Province which fell by 1.25 percent.
• August 2018 rural areas in Lampung Province experienced a deflation of 0.17 percent due to a decrease in the foodstuffs group price index by 1.21 percent, while other groups experienced an increase in the price index, namely processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.43 percent, housing group by 0.64 percent, clothing group by 0.97 percent, health group by 0.27 percent, education, recreation and sports group by 1.76 percent, and transportation and communication groups by 0.39 percent.
